WHO WAS THIS CREATED FOR?
Purpose-driven Organizations/Businesses who need to build their capacity and lay a solid foundation for communications & promotion - and need to include Stakeholders (Boards, Community Leaders, Funders, Investors) in the process.
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS?
Organization/Business will be fully empowered and excited to leverage communications & promotion to activate their Mission/Purpose. You will:
- Confidently tell your story and invite others to join you on your path
- Develop communications infrastructure so you can do your work and not worry about or reinvent the wheel every time they create communications & promote
- Build your capacity in the best practices/tools/technology of communications & promotion
- Solidify, strengthen and package your authentic Identity as a reflection of your Purpose, Vision & Mission
- Build a core group of Ambassadors who are well-versed in the Public Image and can be part meaningful engagement listed next.
- Meaningfully engage all audiences to progressively grow a sustainable community that supports your Purpose, Vision & Mission
HOW IS THIS LEVEL DIFFERENT FROM OTHER OPTIONS?
- The biggest difference is that this level includes engaging/facilitating Stakeholder input.
- This is the core program where participants get time to build a foundation while learning about best practices and applying hands-on practice with tools.
- This program breaks out the best practices into more granular parts.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Your Public Image might need some time to grow - especially if you want to involve a group of people in the process (it takes a village!). The 9-month Public Image Works program gives time and space for including stakeholders more deeply.
Social Impact Studios (SIS) will work on parts of your Public Image with you - but you’ll be doing most of the actual build out. Here are the steps we’ll take to help you plan and activate strong communication and promotion of your work:
All Public Image Works Programs include:
STEP 1: DISCOVERY
#1 Kick Off Meeting/Webinar: Public Image Works 101
This is a time to review all of the components and our game plan for this work together. We'll review the
theory, best practices and the core tools so everybody is on the same page and ready to roll.
#2 Webinar/Discovery: Identity Best Practices
We’ll review what goes into a strong “Identity” (also known as “Brand”) and lay the groundwork for developing or enhancing yours. An Identity is a combination of Message, Visuals and the Experience audiences have when hearing your story.
STEP 2: CLARITY
#3 Meeting: Action Plan Clarity & Identity Assessment
SIS will lead a review of the following:
#4 Meetings: Identity Assessment
#5 Assessment Brief
SIS will create a full report & recommendation from the assessment work we did in #4.
STEP 3: AUTHENTIC IDENTITY RESOURCES
#6 Work: Message Catalog
SIS will lead the creation of your “Message Catalog” - a collection of language that is used to tell your story from one-line conversation starters, to promotional copy, to full-length story for media release – and everything in between. Message Catalogs take 1 month to develop from start to finish, with up to 3 drafts needed to finalize everything.
#7 Work: Visual Identity Catalog
SIS will lead the creation of your “Visual ID Catalog” - a collection of elements that tell your story visually. The Visual ID Catalog can include: overall “look & feel,” graphics style, photo & video presentation style, social media graphics style, promotional material style. The design process includes: concepts, mood boards and a final within a 2 month timeframe to complete. Additional design work is available for add-on cost if needed.
#8 Work: Experience Identity Catalog
SIS will lead the creation of your “Experience ID Catalog” - a “Style Guide” for your Identity and framework for your collateral material. The Experience ID Catalog can include: core collateral promotional material template and website design (not including build-out/programming which are available for add-on cost if needed). The design process includes: design direction and 1 draft within a 1 month timeframe to complete and must come after Visual ID Catalog is complete.
#9 Workshop: Message for Ambassadors
Designing your Message is a first step. After that, you need to prep for delivery. As in all things, practice makes perfect. DfSI will lead a first Ambassador Workshop to help you and key stakeholders get familiar and comfortable with the Message Catalog and delivery methods.
STEP 4: VIBRANT PROMOTION
#10 Webinar/Discovery: Communications/Promotion Best Practices & Foundation
We’ll review what makes good communication and what goes into vibrant “Promotion” (also known as “Marketing”). We’ll lay the foundation for your overall approach to Communications that will include establishing goals, strategy, tactics, outlets, budget and timeline - including social media.
#11 Work/Session: Communications/Promotion Strategy
SIS will create your Promotion Strategy based on the results of the discovery in #9. The process includes: initial recommended approach and 1 draft within a 1 month timeframe to complete. This will ultimately be a “living” Strategy for weekly assessment and adjustment based on impact.
#12 Webinar: Storytelling in the 21st Century
We’ll review timeless elements of storytelling and how they get delivered most effectively in today’s media-heavy times.
#13 Webinar/Discovery: Social Media Best Practices
We’ll review the sometimes daunting world of social media, looking at the top outlets and best practices to get the most out of each to reach the audiences identified and in relation to your goals.
#14 Webinar/Work Session: Social Media Strategy
SIS will collaborate with you to create your “Social Media Strategy” based on the results of the discovery in #12. The process includes: initial recommended approach and 1 draft within a 2-week timeframe to complete.
STEP 5: MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT
#15 Webinar/Discovery: Engagement Practices
Promotion is about pushing out information. Engagement is about bringing people into your work. We’ll review how to link the two together for a more effective circular approach. We’ll review the conditions needed for meaningful engagement and lay the groundwork for your own “Engagement Ecosystem.”
#16 Webinar/Work Session: Engagement Mapping & the “Now 25”
The best Engagement is still through relationships and word of mouth. DfSI will recommend a practice for pro-actively manage ongoing engagement work, working with your existing database system or suggesting one if you don’t have one (not including build-out/programming or data porting available for add-on cost if needed). We will introduce you to the “Now 25” method for planning and tracking high-level relationship building that DfSI will use to keep engagement moving and managed.
STEP 6: YOUR PUBLIC IMAGE PLAN
#17 Work: Managing It All - The Public Image Plan
This is where we bring it all together to go public and/or launch a campaign:
STEP 7: ACTIVATE
#18 Wrap Up/Webinar: Ready Checklist
After the 9-month program completes, you’ll have everything you need to continue to manage your Public Image on your own - or you can opt to continue working with SIS to implement the plan with you at add-on cost.
Follow Up Check-In: 1 month & 6 months
$3,600 including materials/hosting
